I enjoyed the Tapas menu last night, it is innovative and keenly priced, although wine bumps it up. I was a bit disappointed in the chicken as it was rather dry and two other orders came with a lot of toast. However, I would recommend Ego and I go there quite often. Good friendly service.
The Ego is a small chain restaurant based in Stockport. To the best of my knowledge there are a few of these spread across the North West, no to many though. This one is the only one I have been to and I really like it so I would go to one of the others if I came across it. The fact that it a chin means that you can get good quality food and not necessarily pay the expensive price of it being an independent restaurant. The food it typically Mediterranean and if you like that sort of food then you will love it hear. The staff and the team that work here are really friend and polite and always happy to help./ I would recommend calling ahead if you want a table on a Saturday night because they are normally quite busy and they are not that overly big of a restaurant. Good food at reasonable prices.
